The 12V side powers lights, pumps, fans, control boards and the ignition circuits inside your appliances. The 120V side powers air conditioning, outlets and the converter that keeps the 12V side alive. Between them sit the converter or inverter-charger, the transfer switch, the breaker and fuse panels, and a battery bank that quietly determines how well everything else behaves. A weak battery causes symptoms that look like a dozen unrelated failures — a slide that stalls, a furnace that will not light, a fridge board that errors out.
We start with measurements: state of charge under load, charging output, voltage drop across the main runs, shore power quality at the pedestal, and continuity where a circuit has gone dead. Bad grounds, corroded terminals, chafed wiring behind panels and loose connections at the distribution panel account for a large share of what we find. Those are permanent fixes, not band-aids.
Component work covers converter and inverter replacement, transfer switch faults, battery bank replacement including lithium conversions with the correct charging profile, solar controller and shore cord issues, generator connection problems and 30A to 50A service questions. We also correct unsafe wiring left behind by previous owners or roadside repairs, which is more common than most owners realize.
Everything is documented for you at the end of the visit so you understand your system, what was changed and what to watch. Electrical faults are the ones most likely to recur if only the symptom is treated — we go after the cause.
