RV air conditioners work harder than any home unit. They run on a small footprint, cycle in brutal heat and humidity, and depend on clean airflow through a shallow duct system. Most cooling complaints we see are not dead compressors — they are failed capacitors, worn fan motors, blocked condenser coils, damaged gaskets letting hot attic air into the return, or shore power sagging below what the unit needs to start. Diagnosing the difference correctly is the whole job, because a wrong guess means an expensive replacement you never needed.
We test amperage draw, incoming voltage, capacitor values, temperature split across the evaporator and the condition of the roof gasket and ducting. Ducted and non-ducted systems from the major manufacturers are all in scope, along with thermostats and control boards that quietly fail and take the blame with them. If the unit is genuinely at the end of its life, we say so and can source and install a replacement rather than selling you a repair that will not hold.
Heating gets the same attention. Furnace no-heat calls, short cycling, weak airflow, sail switch and limit switch faults, LP supply issues and heat pump problems on units that have them are all diagnosed on site. Florida nights get colder than visitors expect, and a furnace that has sat idle all summer is exactly the one that fails on the first cool weekend.
Preventive service keeps both sides healthy: coil cleaning, filter replacement, gasket inspection and a check of the electrical connections that vibrate loose on every mile of road. A short annual visit is far cheaper than an emergency call in August.
